Bitument felt covering to roof and upstands to sides of roof for green roof
The Build - Roof Covering
At time of writing I still don't know whether my finished roof will have a green "living" roof over both the North and South sides or only over the North side with a large photo-voltaic array covering the whole South elevation.
In the meantime I have laid a layer of sarking board over the battens (this will help spread the load of a green roof) and put down a layer of bitumen felt as a stop-gap waterproofing measure.
It will stay as an underlay beneath whatever the final roof covering is.
