The Build - Roof
"Wait a minute, Michael" I hear you cry. "Didn't you learn your lesson building the first floor before your walls?", the answer to which is clearly "no" as the next stage was to build the roof to protect the first floor walls on top of the newly decked first floor.

The roof was built in two halves using pre-fabricated roof trusses before being covered with felt and battens. Prefabricated roof trusses were chosen for speed of construction and because they help distribute the weight of the roof evenly along the walls.

The two halves were craned separately into the air, propped and braced and joined together.
